900 Horsepower Doesn't Come Easy, Even in an AMG G63

 If the XLP name sounds familiar to you it is because just recently Brabus announced two 800 Adventure XLP packages: one Superblack and one Superwhite. Both are based on the G63 AMG, both deliver 800 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque, and both are priced at way over €700,000.

Now the XLP name is back as part of a new 900 XLP "One of ten" package, still based on the G63 AMG, but this time the output goes up to an even more impressive 900 horsepower!

 From the factory, the AMG G63 SUV is powered by a 4.0-liter, Biturbo V-8 engine that delivers 577 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. In the previous 800 Adventure XLP packages, the output was increased to "only" 800 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque mainly because the displacement didn't change. But with the new 900 XLP packages, the displacement goes from 4.0-liters to 4.5-liters. A similar move to what we have seen in the recently launched Crawler. In fact, the latter, like the new 900 XLP has the same engine as the famous Rocket 900 package.  After all these changes, the V-8 now delivers an impressive 900 horsepower at 6,200 RPM and 774 pound-feet of torque. As a result, the sprint from 0 to 60 mph goes down to 4.4 seconds, but top speed remains electronically limited to 130 mph.

The thrilling looks of this GT are coined by the spectacular widebody version with components made of carbon and 22-inch SPOFEC SP2 hi-tech forged wheels, which Vossen produces especially for this supercar. The coupe's twelve-cylinder twin-turbo powerplant is uprated to 527 kW / 717 hp peak power and a peak torque of 986 Nm. This enables the OVERDOSE to sprint from rest to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. In addition, there is a lowering module for the air suspension, which lowers the ride height of the two-door by about 40 millimeters. While Wraith is daring and unique, the principal design signatures that set every Rolls-Royce apart are still very much in evidence; the classic 2:1 proportions of wheel to roof height, the long overhang beyond the back wheels, and the signature rear-hinged coach doors. Underpinned by these pedigree features, Wraith challenges the  Rolls-Royce aesthetic boundaries in other areas. Its elegant fastback lines promise seamless performance and an adventurous spirit, while twin exhausts add a hint of controlled aggression to its powerful, striking silhouette.  N-LARGO: That is the label under which German automotive refinement specialist NOVITEC develops and produces spectacular widebody versions for the world’s most exclusive sports cars. Things get even more extravagant and rare when the model designation is followed by the letter “S”. The NOVITEC N-LARGO S commemorates the departure of the Ferrari 812 GTS with a special edition limited to three vehicles worldwide. All cars of this edition are already sold. The bodywork components for this special edition are made from lightweight yet high-strength carbon and underwent a sophisticated update. The wider front fenders and the flares at the rear axle add 14 centimeters to the width of the two-seater compared with the production car. In concert with the new rocker panels, they optimize the car’s aerodynamics. The rear end was also redesigned and features a seamlessly integrated rear spoiler in particularly striking and aerodynamically efficient ducktail design. The alloy wheels were also restyled in cooperation with Vossen. They feature five twin spokes and are produced using state-of-the-art forging technology. With diameters of 21 inches on the front axle and 22 inches at the rear, they emphasize the wedge shape of this high-end sports car. NOVITEC also modified the 6.5-liter V12. It now produces an additional 40 horsepower and pushes the N-LARGO S from rest to 100 km/h in a mere 2.8 seconds. The top speed increases to 345 km/h. In addition, NOVITEC will optionally tailor the cockpit to the wishes of the N-LARGO S owner in every detail. 

 The most luxurious Mercedes-Maybach is without a doubt the Pullman version. The latest generation is based on the Mercedes S-Class W222 and was launched on March 15, 2018. At 6.50 meters, it is the longest and most luxurious model in the Mercedes S-Class range. With a 6-liter V12 biturbo engine and 630 HP/1000 Nm mated with a 7-speed automatic transmission, the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Pullman is a true masterpiece. 

The 4418 mm wheelbase is 1053 mm longer than the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 and allows the four rear passengers to sit face to face in a compartment with an electrically operated partition. VIP passengers sit in two Executive seats in the direction of travel and enjoy the largest knee space in the segment. From the outside the car can be recognized by the 20-inch wheel in the 10-hole design known from the Mercedes-Maybach. As with other Maybach models, the body can be painted in two-tone paint. However, the example on sale is painted in a single obsidian black color. The interior is upholstered in natural nappa silk beige/deep blue leather.

The car offered for sale is even more special because it is an armored version from the factory offering the VR9 protection class. In this class the body and windows must withstand fire from an assault rifle using armor-piercing ammunition. It is a car for heads of state, royal families and the rich of this world.
